i hate it how everyone suddenly likes modest mouse now, because of one song. which isn't even a good song when compared to their other stuff. it pisses me off when i read someones aim profile, and float on lyrics are in it. and when i read someone's lj and float on lyrics are in it. seriously.

it's really funny. a lot of the things i was into three, four years ago -- modest mouse, death cab for cutie, phantom planet -- i go to target and they're on the 'upcoming artists' shelf. upcoming? what the hell? i haven't listened to modest mouse in years, but upon a friend's prompting, i went out and bought their cd. and i agree, 'float on' is definitely not the best song.
