I know, but there is always wishful thinking. As a kid I had a lot of bad experiences with pets involving psychological trauma so I didn't allow the kids to have in or out of the house. Eventually I let Mel have one and now I surround our house with them inside and out as a way to be closer to Mel I guess. There is a long story about what happened in my childhood, I think I've told Pip and If your interested I'll tell you in e-mail its just not something that I would post publicly but I think you would under stand. let me know if you want to know.

Pets can be such a comfort, and a link to people we love. After my grandmother died I cherished her dog because they'd been inseparable.
