I spent most of the day having an uncomfortable and painful procedure done on my back to try and give myself a little more comfort for a while. But for the next couple of days I'll be miserable. So my wife took pitty on me and let me put the little PC back in the living room. THANK YOU

Put shortly (and indefensibly), I think it's human nature. Religion is just one of many possible means to the end and makes justifying that kind of behavior easier for some folks.

The religion itself might state that non-believers are to be converted or killed.
