There are worse ways to wake up. Charlie stretches one arm up over his head and blinks, smiling sunnily. He tousles his fingers through Ed's hair and tilts his face for a proper kiss.

"You okay?" It's the first thought he has; that Ed must be feeling some sort of sense of loss. Charlie's first instinct is concern.

He had to think for a second why Charlie would ask such a thing, then grinned faintly and kissed him lightly. "Fine," Edmund said. "Absolutely. I was never supposed to go back anyway, not until the end. Are you happy to be back?"

He nods, combing his fingers through Ed's hair, pushing it back from his forehead, still smiling up at him.

"Yeah, I am. If I can't go home and see my Mom, you know, here's where I want to be." He idly re-entwines their legs where they've drifted apart in the night. "Right here."

Edmund's smile grew all the more. "Good," he said softly. "Because that's where I want you, too."

Sighing softly, a contented sort of noise, Ed cupped the side of Charlie's face and gave him one more soft kiss. "I wonder how long we've been gone this time," he said. "I'll be starving in a second."
