It had been a good night. Any and all nervousness Edmund might have felt at the onset had disappeared quickly, drifting away with some drinks and some dancing. And it really was a beautiful night. Twisting his fingers through Edmund's is the most natural thing in the world, by now. If they're walking together, most of the time, they're holding hands. They've spent all night close, some of it dancing, some of it sitting in the sand, and Charlie's had enough to drink that he's pleasantly warm. He lifts Ed's hand and presses a kiss against his knuckles.

"We should do stuff like that more often," he remarked, squeezing Charlie's hand a touch. After a second, he tugged Charlie closer and managed to press a kiss to his temple. "It was nice."

"The bonfire, the beach or the dancing?" asks Charlie, stopping abruptly on the path and pulling Edmund close, pressing a kiss against the corner of his mouth.

"Just nice?"

"Mm, all of those," Edmund decided, slipping his free arm around Charlie's waist. "Just felt sort of like a date or something." Which they'd never really done. Not that Ed minded in the least, and frankly hadn't thought about it until tonight.

"And it was very, very nice," he said, correcting himself as he found Charlie's mouth for a proper kiss.
