Luna's world turns upside down, and as she stares into the depths of his eyes, she's completely lost. "Hello, Edmund," she breathes.

And then he saw her. Really saw her it felt like, because he didn't remember feeling this way when they'd first met. His heart jumped up into his throat and his stomach dropped away to only Aslan knew where.
"Luna," he answered, equally breathless. But he had to soldier on and speak, otherwise she'd think him a fool and the last thing he wanted was for Luna Lovegood to think he was a fool. He just wouldn't be able to stand it. "Luna, how-- how are you? You look... beautiful," he sighed.

She takes three quick steps toward him, one hand tentatively raised, as if to stroke his cheek. "I've never felt like this before this morning, either. It's as if I've been given new eyes."

"...You as well?" he asked after realizing what she meant. "I mean, you feel.." Cautiously but without hesitation, Edmund lifted his own hand to take hers. "I know I shouldn't feel this way, but honestly Luna I don't think I can stop it."
