You're really confusing. I know what you mean, about not being noticed, but I'm sure you really don't get just how much you do. Lets say you're just the person on the side line. Who cares! The day you're gone, for something you don't even realize how important you are for, people will question where you were. While they might not say anything out loud, or even to you when you get back, they know you're there. You have accomplished a lot in Theater! You were amazing in Les Mis! Maybe you didn't get Marius, but that play CAN'T work without Enjolras. In band, people don't care. You do, and while it may get you sooooo frustrated that people don't care, it really does make a difference. Without someone to push them, they would never know just how great that can be!!! You do matter. Maybe not it the "everybody knows me and knows I'm important" way, but they do know you. As said in Mulan by the emperor "A single grain of rice can tip the scale."
