3 night until Christmas Eve...

Dec 21, 2011 23:17

I'll be off to my mum's tomorrow, so this will be my last option to post what I have written until now... I finally realized I can write at work...

So here's stories until today. I'll post rest when I'm back home...

Dec 13th, Haruka/Yakumo, Psychic Detective Yakumo

Haruka opened the familiar clubroom door and peeked in. On a couch a green caterpillar looking thing was snoring lightly. Haruka suppressed a giggle and stepped in. At least Yakuma was making use of the sleeping bag she had brought in few weeks ago.

She walked around the room silently, dusting off some here, adding a delicate decorating here. She had made sure to bring only new decorations, straight from store. Last thing she wanted was to bring a lingering spirit in to this place.

When Yakumo woke up, first thing he noticed was a smell of mulled wine, gingerbread and food. Candle was softly glowing on the table and Haruka was sitting by it, reading one of his books. In front of her was a book, wrapped in only a ribbon.

“Merry Christmas Yakumo” Haruka said, smiling brightly.

Silence was peaceful and neither had a rush to move anywhere.

Dec 14th, Hikaru/Kaoru, Ouran High School Host Club

The Ouran High School Host Club was a busy place on 25th. Every girl in their fanclub wanted to greet their hosts at least once before Christmas and bring their little presents. The piles of presents were humongous, specially the one Tamaki had.

Hikaru and Kaoru had their little twin-lovey-dovey show going on and Haruhi could only shake her head. She had also gotten her share of gifts and though the pile was much smaller than any of the guys, it still was bigger than in any of her birthdays or traditional celebration occasions.

“Ooh, Haruhi! You must come and see what Kaoru got me.” Hikaru shouted, showing off a shiny, paper covered package.

“And you must see what Hikaru got me” Kaoru shouted eagerly waving another box.

Haruhi smirked. She knew exactly what was in those packages, as she had been asked to help both of them to shop them. Needless to say, neither had listened to her, opting to make fun of the other. If you asked Haruhi's opinion, it was that both had wanted what the other got.

Twins started to unwrap their gifts and when they pulled out their gifts, all the girls started to swoon and Honey-senpai had heart shaped eyes. Both of the twins held a similar, white teddy-bear with a red ribbon around its neck.

The look on both Hikaru's and Kaoru's face was a sight to see. They weren't often rendered speechless. Haruhi could not hold her laughter in and started to giggle. Tamaki-senpai, who had see the whole thing laughed as well.

“Oh you guys are just so adorable.” Haruhi wheezed between her laughing. “Maybe you should start working on a doll-clothing models.”

An evil twinkle appeared on both twin's eyes. Haruhi had just signed her doom. As a female clothing model.

Dec 15th, Haruhi/Tamaki, Ouran High School Host Club

Tamaki Suou was playing piano in an old music room, that Host Club used as their cafe. He was feeling a little nostalgic, remembering his Christmases with his mother. But being himself, he did not want to worry his friends, and all the songs he played were cheery and fun. Part of the show was to his customers, he did want to give them a merry day.

Haruhi though was hard to fool. She had a talent to notice moods of her friends and it applied to Tamaki-senpai too. Right now her “mood antlers” as Kaoru called them, were out and she neared towards the blond young man.

“Tamaki-senpai?” She asked carefully. A bright smile greeted her.

“Haruhi!”

Wordlessly Haruhi held out a pastry box for him. Gently, ever a perfect gentleman as he was, he took it and opened the lid. Then his eyes widened.

Inside the box was a Yule Log, chocolate covered French Christmas dessert.

“I made it myself. Merry Christmas, Tamaki-senpai.” Haruhi said.

For awhile a nostalgic smile lingered on his lips, then the happy Tamaki was back again.

“Haruhiiiiii!! My daughter, what a gift you give!!” He shouted and wrapped his arms around Haruhi. The hug was more gentle and lingering than the usual ones and softly whispered thank you tickled Haruhi's ear. It also made her happy, to know that she had brought him some happiness.

“Mother, everyone! Look what my sweet Haruhi made for her Father!” Tamaki-senpai called to other hosts. A chatter filled the air and the Log was shared. But the tickling on Haruhi's cheek remained through out the day.

Dec 16th  Tohru/Yuki, Fruits Basket

Yuki Sohma stomped his feet. It was really cold outside and he was waiting for Tohru to finish her part time job. He had promised Shigeru he'd escort Tohru home and was now regretting his promise. Right now he might have been sitting in his room or by kotatsu, reading a book.

He watched as people walked up and down the street, keeping away from people so he wouldn't accidentally bump into some female. Suddenly a brightly covered package was showed to his face.

“Here, Yuki.” Tohru said. “Merry Christmas!”

She had walked through the doors and saw Yuki standing there, looking very cold. That's why she decided to give his gift now, instead tomorrow as original plan.

Yuki opened the gift and pulled out a very soft and warm looking scarf. He wrapped it around his neck and basked in the warmth it brought. He then took off after Tohru who once again was taking a less crowded way to home.

When he reached Tohru he gently patted her head and they continued to walk towards home. Stars were twinkling merrily above them.

Dec 17th, Chihiro/Haku, Spirited Away

Chihiro Ogino sat by the Kohaku River and watched as the water strolled by gently. It wasn't wild river like it used to be, but it was doing better than few years ago, when her family had moved away from the area.

Five years ago she had met the river spirit, Haku, in that strange land, and had an adventure she could never forget. Part of her wished she had turned her head before stepping out of the tunnel, but she knew it wouldn't have been good thing to do. No matter how much she wanted to see Haku, Haku wanted her to live her life fullest. And she planned to.

Today she was sitting by his river, because the need to see at least part of him was too strong. She had begged her parents to let her come to meet her friends and celebrate Christmas with them. And now she had only one gift to deliver.

Chihiro stood up and pulled a wooden bracelet from her pocket. She lifted it to her lips and whispered her wish to see him again. And that he'd be watching over her. Then she thew the jewelery to the river.

As she turned away, a gush of wind sent a splash of water at her. But the water was not cold. Instead it felt like a warm hand caressed her head slightly, passing by.

Dec 18th Shin/Yankumi, Gokusen

Sawada Shin sat by the familiar kotatsu and watched his teacher's family jest and play around him. He had been invited to the Ooeda Clan's Christmas party and Yankumi had been adamant that he would appear. Not one to disappoint his teacher, specially the one he was in love with, he made it in time and was now enjoying the warm family Christmas. So unlike any at his home.

“Young Red Lion!” Kyo-san shouted and moved to sit with Shin. “Why so silent? You are one of us, so celebrate like one! Here, have a drink...”

A strong arm took the glass from his hand and swatted the slightly drunk Kyo.

“No drinks to Sawada. He's still minor, even if he's more responsible than many adults are.” Yankumi said, her voice stern and amazingly enough not even slurring.

“But Ojou...”

“No buts! Kami knows what you put into those drinks you make. Beer is fine, but your mixes... oh, no” Yankumi smirked at the stunned faces of both Kyo and Shin.

“Oh, and before I forget. Sawada, catch!” She threw a long and thin package at Shin, who caught it with one hand. “Merry Christmas! And if I ever see you bring that to school, I'll maim you.” Thread was real, Shin knew. That voice was heard only when her precious students were in trouble.

He ripped the wrapping off and found a bokken inside. It was magnificent and looked well cared for. Kyo gasped when he saw it.

“My my, Young Master Red Lion. Welcome to the family. That's pretty much the same as proposing.”

Shin choked.

19th  Kaoru/Kenshin  Rurouni Kenshin (AU)

Kamiya dojo was lighted brightly and merry sounds were filling it once again. After so many years spending Christmases alone, Kaoru finally had friends, almost family, to spend it with. Had she not found Yahiko and took care of him, she would have never met her friends, Kenshin, Sanosuke and Megumi, Tae and Tsubame, or Misao and Aoshi. But now that she had them, she wanted to celebrate the Year End with them as well.

The evening had been peaceful, with good food and singing. Now they were exchanging gifts and Kenshin was following her every move as she opened the gift he had gotten her.

“You.... don't like it?” His disappointed voice said, when tears started to roll down her cheeks.

“I love it!” Kaoru smiled. “It's just that.... this is exactly like the one my father got me years ago. I lost it last year and been missing it. How did you know?”

Without a way to express her feelings in words, she proceeded to kiss the red-headed man on her couch and then continued to blabber on and on about her futile search for the royal blue ribbon she was now holding in her hands.

Kenshin on the other hand was not listening. He had been crushing over Kaoru from the moment they met and the kiss seemed a little too good to be true. In fact, he wanted to make sure it was not a dream.

20th Original

There are plenty on things I love about Christmas. Food, smells, Tree, seeing family.... I love gifts too.

One of the best memories is when I was around 9 or 10 and she was 7 or 8. I still remember that Christmas very well.

Do you remember those craft lessons you got at school? When you're supposed to make all kinds of things, knitting, crocheting and sewing? Well, that year my teacher made us all to sew an apron. From Christmas fabric. Red with golden stars and what not in it. So I worked on it a lot and managed to almost finish it before Christmas.

Usually you leave the unfinished piece at school, but since this was supposed to be Christmas stuff, I was allowed to take the apron and few golden bells with me and sew those bells on their place later.

My sister saw the apron and begged me to give it to her. It was her size even. I was sewing the bells and said “No, this is not for you, I'll let Santa decide...” Yeah well... needless to say, she was crying and went to Mama and all that.

Anyway.,the apron was not something I would wear myself and it really was kid's size so... In the end I wrapped it into some paper and wrote my sister's name on it. Even after all this time (20 years or more) I still remember her face and the fierce hug I got from her.

Years later she surprised me just as much when she gave me a book I had admired and begged to read many times over. She managed to keep the book unopened till I got it.

Dec 21st Sophie/Howl  Howl's moving castle, book

Sophie was sitting by the fire and knitting. Though the curse was lifted and Calcifer rarely occupied the heart, she still liked to sit by it and do something when nights grew dark. Howl had his own wizardy things to do and Michael was running out to meet Martha as much as possible. And knitting gave her something to do.

Right now she was softly whispering her words of warmt to the scarf she was finishing up. As a witch she now knew she could charm things and this one was to keep the scarfs owner warm. Today was what Howl called Christmas, and she wanted to give something to him as a present.

A creak behind her alerted her to the arrival of Howl. Soon she was wrapped in a gentle hug and shivering wizard tried to warm up holding his wife next to him. Sophie finished the scarf and wrapped it around Howl's neck.

“Next time, don't go outings without proper clothes, no matter how vain you are. I swear Howl Jenkins, if you didn't have me, you'd freeze to death out there.” She chattered, and rose to pour them both a cup of cocoa.

She pulled a cake out of closet too, and took it and tea to the table near the hear.

“Merry Christmas, Howl.”

There you go.

As I won't be able to post in rest of the week,

Have a Merry Christmas all
