I was watching an old-school Youtube video in which Michael Jordan and Larry Bird compete in making shots for a Big Mac ("first one to miss gets to watch the other guy eat", or something).
The good old days.
Someone made a comment that I TOTALLY supported:
"I miss the 90's. Ever since 2000 came around everything has gone to sh*t." (Edited for the sake of those who cannot take profanity)
Someone else commented on it, and I agreed with them as well:
"music sports Tv u are so true"
True, true, true. Everything has gone downhill since 2000, apparently. In music (it took three or so years, but I certainly can't defend today's rap much anymore--except for those rappers from the '80s and '90s), TV (don't know when it happened, but I'm not as interested anymore in the TV), and other things (I don't know about sports--I don't watch them a lot, but my Sweetest has gotten me into college football, and it's quite entertaining. X3)
Also, it's as if morality has been on a decline since then, too. Before the 2000s, you'd be hard-pressed to hear a commercial (or anything on TV) freely use the word "b*tch" as a swear word, or in any form (unless it was on a movie, or when "certain circumstances" allowed it--even then, censorship was happening). Only a day or two ago, I heard one commercial use it at the end of its duration as if it didn't matter--in other words, you'd have never missed its use.
Now, don't get me wrong--swear words do not affect me. I find them amusing when used tastefully and skillfully. But that was ridiculous. I've heard the same sort of thing on the radio, too. I won't even get into other ways morality has gradually gone down the drain after 2000 hit. And believe me, there's much worse than this. Looks like morality is taking a backseat to the "almighty" dollar. How sad.
So, yeah. I miss the '90s.
