Hi, does anyone in here likes to shop anything in eBay ? Any tips on how to buy wisely in there?
I mean, if the detail said it's "Brand New" with the sealed package pictures included, is it usually true like that? And why do some of the items are being sold lower than the prices in online shop ( for example YesAsia ) ?

I just want to make sure I won' ( Read more... )

YesAsia always includes cost of sending from Japan to their place in their prices, that's why their prices are a bit higher than for exampl on CD Japan (but on the other hand you can ge "free shipping" on yesasia while on CD Japan it's not possible) . On ebay there are sellers who buy in Japanese second-hand shops but it doesn't mean that you get used item. I can't explain it but for example this seller: http://myworld.ebay.com/headynana/?_trksid=p4340.l2559 has cheap things and they were always just like on the picture - if it was written it's brand new and sealed it was. Well, i can't help you more than that becuse i didn't order at any other sellers. xD

Ah yes, I actually wanted to buy from like Yesasia because it's trustable source, but too bad their price of free shipping must $39 to higher, and I'm pretty sure what I want to buy is lower than that XDD
If it's Japanese CDs, it's quite easy to look for any differences for the price (for example CDjapan, things usually have almost the exact price of the original ones in Japan stores) but this one is Kpop T.T So far no online shop special for Kpop, I only know Yesasia (though it's more asian music focused XD) and everyone knows YA's price is higher than anywhere else so I can't compare any of Kpop's original price.

Ah okay, so at least I'm kinda understand that if it's 'brand new' then it must be sealed. Moreover it comes from user who has 'top rated seller' so it must be good right? XD

Ah I see! :D
Oh yesterday I found something I dont really understand, if it's 'Brand New' then it means it's still sealed along with the cardbox (or something like it), then how about 'Like new' ? I read the explanations but doesn't quite understand ^^;

hi there.. this is a veeeeeeeeeery late reply, sorry, i just found you through arama
one way of getting a better idea of the state of the items is to check the reputation of the seller, how many items they have to sell, what type.

you are better off if yo read the opinions of those who bought from them before. sometimes they sell for cheaper than on Yesasia because they don't want to keep the item anymore, or are in desperate need of cash - lower priced items will sell much faster, right?

there are many guides on line about how you can avoid a scam, or make the chances of it happening a low as possible. feel free to ask me more, should you need. and good luck in the future (^.^)V

i have no idea where you live, but read carefully ebay's policies on returns, complaints and so on. there must be a FAQ somewhere.

check this forum out, it may be helpful with more of your questions, and you dont really have to join, unless you want to see attached pics, or ask questions :)
