Ugh, okay I actually went to bed without reading this and woke up early to read it this morning and - oh. Wow. Even though I understood the premise early on it still took me a while to sort it but it's lovely and gorgeous and weird but it works so well. I love Sherlock's living in reverse and how Mycroft is insufferable and John's patience with Sherlock dwindling as he forgets and everything. Sherlock's voice at the beginning, unsure and hesitant like baby colt, moving on to the end where he's sure and confident even as John will finally leave him was lovely. I love that the story makes you work as you read and it's so heartfelt and sweet. Ugh, I am stumbling over myself in the early hours of the morning but I really, really enjoyed this. ♥
Thank you!! I'm really glad you had a good time with it. When I started, I totally didn't realize how strange it might come across until I was a few thousand words in. Because it felt so simple in my head! And then I took a step back, noticed and was like, huh -- CAN'T GO BACK NOW. But it's AWESOME to know it's still enjoyable. Thank you so much for reading.
THIS COMMENT IS SO GLORIOUS. Your feedback always makes me stop and really think over what I wrote again and how it comes across. I'm SUPER, super please/relieved that the voices drew you in. I'm still figuring out how they sound in my head, so that's really reassuring.
It was also a lot of fun to try to figure out ways some of the other people would fit in and how to work backwards toward the cases we do know about. Manipulating canon details is my favorite thing to every time, I won't lie!
Thanks so, so much for reading and leaving this AWESOME AMAZING comment. I'm really grateful!
OH YAY I'M GLAD. Thanks for reading this, dude. <3 I can't deny it -- I'm a total sap at heart and figuring out interesting ways to pick apart or build a connection between people is addictive. I'm really glad it works here!
