Am I terrible for looking for a new job while I'm working at my current job??? I feel like the most kniving little sneak ever. So, maybe since I feel so terrible, I should do it, right? WRONG! I guess sometimes it's good to stop being Miss Goodie-Goodie of the year ( Read more... )

I would say don't wait until 6-8 months before the wedding. I have put off a lot of things, we are 4 months out, and it is stressful leaving so much til last minute. Do what you can now. It will help, and make you feel better because you actually get to start planning. Trust me, once you get full board into planning, you won't be so eager anymore. lol. At least I am not.

Thanks! What about dress shopping though? How far ahead can I go and start trying-on and checking out bridesmaids dresses? I think it's still too early, but some of my bridesmaids are just getting antsy I think.

Thanks for the advice!

When is your wedding??

I bought my dress 11 months before the wedding. Might be early, but there was a sale. For bridesmaids, I think you could start looking and getting ideas. That way, if they totally hate the style, or you change your mind after seeing them, you have plenty of time. My bridesmaid dresses actually just came in on Tuesday, and I am going to pick them up tonight. I have to make an appt at some point for alterations, and so does my sister(MOH). We did just order the tuxes last weekend, I think it was? And we are going to finish registering at the first of 2 (maybe 3) places we are registering tonight. Ahhh, things that could have been done had I not put them off.

Our wedding is June 10, 2006 (EEEEEE -- I love saying the date!!!) :)

I guess it would be good to get stuff done early. My grandma actually said that she wants us to register soon so that she can use the registry for birthday gifts too (Both of our birthdays are in July -- oh yeah, you knew that though, right?). I just don't want people to think that I am ridiculous doing things SO early. But I know what you mean about not waiting until the last minute. I'm sure the planning gets less and less fun as the day gets closer, huh?

Thanks again!
