totally agree with u on the "end of an era" thing...although never thought the weird depressing feeling I associated with that was lonliness..thats interesting, and sort of true...you realize that you're the only one going through this change: you have people with you here, and people with you there, but only u are going through this transition...sort of cool.

As for topic, I don't know what the GIA is? I'm assuming Islamists? It sounds like an interesting topic, and although not 100% sure about North Africa, I know terrorism is directly proportional to the level of inequality...GDP, oil revenues, etc, have little to do with it as much as inequality does...
