Well, it's lovely to be home. Padma and I were like really happy to see our family, as can be imagined. So, mainly I've just been trying to relax, but Padma keeps bugging me about studying for our Apparition Test. Which, I mean, I am studying, just not as much as she is. Because like, it's not that hard, right? I don't know. Does anyone in sixth ( Read more... )

I've got mine! Got it over the Easter hols. I'm pretty sure Anthony Goldstein did, too...I might've even seen him there at the testing centre.

I wonder if anyone's had one as far back as last Christmas.

Is it really hard? Did you have to study constantly for it? I'm getting kind of nervous, because I haven't been doing near as much as Padma. But then, we're not actually going for it until near the end of the holidays.

I doubt it, the only person I know who's that old is Hermione, and she doesn't have one. At least, not that I know of. You'd think, as her roommate, I would notice.

I studied some every night for about a month beforehand, but I've always had an easy time with Charms, so I didn't find it too difficult.

I don't know how she could have one if she didn't go home for any holidays. But she'd definitely not the only one that old. There's Anthony, Increase, Lisa's birthday's in December, Millicent Bulstrode's been seventeen since October. Maybe not Gryffindors, but I think there's a possibility some of the people in other Houses could have got it over Christmas. I don't think any of the Ravenclaws did, even the ones that were old enough, because they'd have said something, but it's a possibility in Slytherin and Hufflepuff, definitely.

Oh. So if I study every night, and maybe some in the morning, I should be all right. And then I have most of the day free!

True, good point. I don't really know many peoples birthdays outside of Gryffindor. I haven't heard anyone else speaking of Apparition Licenses though. If it were me I'd tell everyone.

((BTW, when is Dean's birthday, I was looking for it on the list but I couldn't see it.))

Hi darling! It's lovely to hear from you! I haven't really gotten around to studying for my Apparition test yet-- been real busy with the family. You're right on target knowing I was excited to see Reg-- you know me so well! : )

We have to see each other soon, or I'm going to go mad from missing you!

Always,
Dean

Oh fair enough, seems like a pretty good reason. Maybe I can teach you then! How's Reggie doing, I'd really like to meet him! And your mother too.

Yes, we definitely have to meet! Any suggestions as to where? It'll be great, this is the first time we're both out of Hogwarts, so we can do whatever we want! I can't wait!

It'd be so cool if you could teach me! (And, don't tell your sister, but probably a lot more fun than if Padma was teaching : P )
You should totally meet my family-- they're going to love you!

Hmmm, where to meet, where to meet... well, there's always my place or your place, or Diagon Alley... I don't know where else, unless you can think of somehwere special!

Yeah, so much more fun than just studying by yourself! I think Padma would probably never give you a moments rest if she were trying to help!
Maybe we could go to Diagon Alley and spend the morning together, and then in the afternoon we could go back to your place? If you want to, I mean, if you'd rather not than that's okay too, of course.

Dear Parvati,

Oh, pfeh. The folks are fine. They were united in their fear for me for a while, but things are starting to get back to normal. Don't worry about me though. I'm fine.

We should definitely get together. Are you going to that wedding of, like Sylvie's brother's wedding? My mum and I are going. I'm getting a teeny-tiny makeover for it, you know, for having literally survived the year at Hogwarts. Tell me what you think when you see it! (Duh)

And then from there, maybe we can go shopping! Yeah!

Dear Lav,

That's great, I was a little worried, I remember how it was for you at Easter break.

Yep, I'm going. You're so lucky, I wish my parents would let me have a makeover. Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Oooh, great idea! See you there then!

Love,
Vati
