So Tell Me Who Do YOU Love?
This post contains spoilers. Massive spoilers for the 9.01 episode of Supernatural.
Seriously, I'm a spoiler whore and I'm telling you that you don't want to click until you've seen the episode.
So, I haven't been the happiest fangirl the past few years. I still haven't watched all of season six and seven - although I've gone from NO! to Meh and the completeist in me will cave some year I'm sure. But last season's finale drive made up for it in a BIG way and I've been finding myself looking forward to watching something live - not just to catch up. So I was prepped to fall in love again and was not disappointed.
OMFG. THIS SHOW.
I still had lingering resentment about Sam not fighting to save Dean from Purgatory. I know he thought Dean was just dead, but... ugh. No. But in light of this episode? I also think that Sam didn't try to "rescue" Dean because Dean died saving the world and should have by all rights gone to heaven. Bringing Dean back might not have been necessary and given their track record the odds were that it would have hurt more innocent people. And that Sam STILL knows that this might happens is enough for me to let it go.
Dean-that-is-Sam is SUCH a fighter and SUCH the good soldier. Holy Shit. I'm still processing how Sam sees both Bobby and Dean.
And Dean. Oh Dean. Sweet little lost boy. DO NOT SEND OUT AN APB ON YOURSELF. Although I like the nod to continuity that he had to tell them all where he was in the prayer for them to come. I carved it into your ribs.
And then Ezekiel. For the ones who've escaped useless angelic knowledge - Ezekiel was a prophet. Apparently Show is saying he ascended? You know, like Chuck. Who may have been God. Or may have just ascended. But the language he uses is very specific and the other angels do not recognize him and all he says was he was injured in the fall but doesn't mention WHICH one and OMFG if he turns out to be Chuck or Lucifer or some other fallen angel I will screech like a banshee for days.
