The more I hear about babies with slow weight gain, the more grateful I am to our pediatrician. Connor was a slow gainer, and there was never pressure to supplement or any suggestion that there was something wrong. Sean and I decided that it's time to try for a second child. We can't afford it, but if we waited for that to happen we may never have another. I want Connor to know the joy of having siblings. We had Connor's birthday party yesterday; he had a great time. Things have been crazy and busy as usual, especially cleaning for our overnight guests. It was great to see my family. Connor took his 1st steps yesterday. We were at a garden store (they had a lot of kids activities and pumpkins in the greenhouse area) Connor was decorating a pumpkin, then turned and took two steps away from the table. It's been a while, but I don't get much computer time any more. Connor is doing wonderfully, and he just woke up so I have to end before I even get started.

Connor had his 2 month checkup yesterday. I can't believe he is already 2 months old. He's gained a good amount of weight, he's now 10 lb 4 oz. And he is 23 3/4". He is such an alert baby; he loves to look around at his surroundings. The doctor has no concerns. The vaccinations were difficult to witness; I wanted to cry. He started crying at ( Read more... )

I have only 19 days left home with Connor. I thought I'd want to go back to work...well not really, but I didn't think I'd be dreading it this much. I don't want to leave him with someone else. So we were supposed to get together with Sean's cousin tonight, but her son has the croup, and I didn't want to expose Connor to it, so Connor and I are home alone. No candy to give out, good thing the door to the building is locked. We took some pictures of Connor in his outfit.
