Five Songs that Mean a Lot to Me and Why:
1) If You're Gone - Matchbox Twenty. Of course there would be some Matchbox! But yeah, this became Kyle's song after we fought during the summer. I just felt like I messed everything up and that I ruined out friendship and the potential for a relationship. When I came back home, we didnt really talk much, so of course I felt like he was gone. Just everything about the song reminds me of him. "I bet youre hard to get over. I bet the room just wont shine. I bet my hands I can stay here, and I bet you need more than you mind" means the most to me. Kyle was really hard to get over and I would do anything to get him back. This song also reminds me of Melissa, since now we're not so close and barely talk. We got into this huge argument, and for some reason, nothing just went back to being normal. It really sucks and I do feel like I've lost her. The first verse makes me think of her because I thought I'd always have her, but now shes gone and I miss her.
2) Bed of Lies - Matchbox Twenty. For some reason this song just reminds me of me! lol. I just get so sick of lying, so I just figured that I wont tolerate it anymore and just look at the important things in life! I hate it when people try to get me to talk when I'm sad, so of course I just have to walk around with a hollow smile and keep my head up. As I got older, I realized sorry isnt always enough and some people will just choose to give up rather than face the hard parts of their day. Everyone has always had a point in their life when they tried to be someone other than themselves, and just broke down in the process because they gave so much but recieved so little. And then finally the part about only needing one person just blows me away because it reminds me of Kyle. He's all that I need and helps me when I need it.
3) Iris - Goo Goo Dolls: Kyle, dont get fussy about this one...lol. This song reminded me of David so much. I liked him alot, but he had no idea who I am. So basically, at the time, I would have done anything to get his attention so he could just know that I existed. Even though I cant stand him now, everytime I hear this song, it makes me realize that everything he put me through, wasnt worth it.
4) When the Heartache Ends - Rob Thomas. This will be short and sweet. Everyone always has someone who says they'll be there when your heart breaks. This song just basically goes through how someone falls apart when they're devestated and how they're calling on their friend to be there. Something everyone can relate to.
5) Eight Days A Week - The Beatles. My favorite Beatles song! It just reminds me of anyone I love and how seven days is just not enough to love someone. When you care about a person, you want that one extra day to be there with them. The Beatles just rock!
