I have to say that I am so pleased with the changing political situation in the US.  It restores my faith in the American people, and human beings in general.  Perhaps we're not all headed for hell in a handbasket after all.

I'm doubly pleased because it eases my conscience for not voting this time.  My absentee ballot went to my old address so I ( Read more... )

You are lucky that you are entitled to vote, despite not living in the US at present. I wasn't allowed to vote for the devolution & Welsh parliament as I'm not registered to vote at a Welsh address!

Things are starting to look up in US politics now, just hope it stays that way.

I hope so too!

American citizens are allowed to vote no matter where they're living, as long as they've registered to vote whilst living in America. So I vote in the state where I was last registered. Unfortunately, updating my UK address with them is a bit of a hassle which is how I missed out this time.

As I'm also a UK citizen, I can vote over here as well. It was great to vote in two big elections in one year last year!

2 votes! bloody hell, that's....that's outrageous! that's pure unadulterated greed that is, you should share that vote.....I don't know who with, but you should share it.

Good news on the US front, I can't wait to see the back of ol' shorty! (the politest thing I can say about him here)

Hopefully next presidential election they'll keep the faith. fingers crossed. it's desperately needed in this current world climate.

Mind you, anyone else would be more responsible than old thicky GWB junior!

:) Keep up the good work & sort that voting situation out!

I have to admit that I'm very lax on the voting front, as I don't trust any of them!
I was very interested in the Welsh devolution vote though (being such a patriot that I cannot even live there!!) and was frustrated that I was not entitled to a vote.
