Please note: Season two, of The Office is a great buy if you like the show. The deleted scenes are as relevant as the broadcast scenes, which gives the DVD twice the content. My only wish is that they undeleted the scenes as a special offering ( Read more... )

I got Season One of The Office for Hanukkah. It's my new favorite show.

Are you starting your The Office viewing from that season? I mean, had you already watched any on broadcast before this?

I, like an idiot, watched only the premier or pilot of Season One and then some time later caught Season Two's Booze Cruise from the broadcast. That second episode (for me) pretty much showed me I missed A LOT of a good show. You see, I was recording Survivor instead. With all that catching up to do, I've been recording all of this season to avoid the same mistake. Watching these DVD's made me realize that had I caught any other additional episode, I would have been hooked earlier.

I'm confused. Wouldn't Season One (pilot episode +) be the first? Or do you just mean that episode didn't impress you?

I saw the pilot episode and was hooked since then but have missed a couple of shows. Booze Cruise? I missed that one...

Premier AKA Pilot.

You haven't missed Booze Cruise yet, it's midway of Season Two. Without being spoilery, Booze Cruise showed me how much the characters had developed and how much the interaction between Pam and Jim had advanced. That's what made me realize how much I missed (a whole season and half of another).

I had opted for recording Survivor because, I only had one TiVo at the time. The Office is now recorded as a priority over Survivor, though both are being recorded.
