Easier and Harder

Easier...no longer need to be discreet.

Harder...people coming out of the woodwork to tell me (with good intentions, not being judgemental) how to handle things.

Because of the discreetiness, alot of people missed the fact that I was already treating her gently. Irony!
PS: Wyatt's in town. Yay!

PPS: This treehouse is fantastic. Owe Deacon something ( Read more... )

No, man, sorry. I never met Cay. Heard good things about her.

You confuse and frighten me, Gil. I am small and slow and sort of dumb and cannot follow the flowchart of Gilness.

You're young yet!

Now, what was the question? I'd assumed you were asking if I was refering to Carolyne Mandrake? The only Mandrake I think I know with any regularity is Theo, and his wife might object if we were dating.

Although yes, that would likely call for "discrete."

Just want to point out that I only gave you cake, not advice. Not that anyone would want to listen to my advice. So I'm guessing that my advice would be for you to not follow my example, but then that would be giving advice, and I don't want to do that. Because you wouldn't take it. And then you'd be following my example.

Which no one wants.

What was I saying? Oh, yes. Alls I gave you was cake, Gil. Eat yer cake.

Yay cake!

(Wait, so you're saying not to get married?)

(Not at all. I am also not saying to get married. What I am saying is that I'm the last person you should be going to for lifestyle advice.

Now, if you'd like advice on how to muck up your life, suffer needlessly for a good bit, get regularly wracked with guilt, and alienate those you care the most about? Well, then I'd be your go-to girl!)

Molly, can we please not teach Gil those particular skills? Because mucking up his life might muck up mine a bit.

And I got quite enough mucking up with John! (Wow, that sounds dirty, doesn't it?)

If they get judgmental, you just let me know. I'll beat them up for you.

(Isn't that why you keep me around, anyhow?)

I...think there might be other reasons.

Remember, I was unconscious when you showed up. I've only ever HEARD about your skills in the blade, never witnessed them.

Oh, right! Right.

Treehouse pricing structure. deacon_bayle October 15 2008, 02:12:54 UTC
Generally speaking there is a hefty price for the good treehouses. In this particular instance the cost revolved around a night of wining and dining with Duchess Karm and a hammock.

I'd also like to remind House Karm that there is a clause in the agreement between a certain Duchess and Baron that the only wine to be consumed (and thus ordered) in said treehouse are those vintages belonging to House Bayle.

I believe there's something in writing around here somewhere...

P.S. Still waiting for that hammock.

We can get you ANOTHER hammock. Interesting that she never mentioned the hammock.

Well it was HER trade bait. To think she mocked me for the lack of one in my gardens and yet, hers did not possess a treehouse.

Perhaps I need to consult with my aunts and uncles on whether another hammock will suffice. We Bayles won't be gypped, you know.

See, the problem is THAT hammock is MY hammock.* But I can get you one.

*Not like a cat claims a pillow. It really is my hammock!
