So, I decided that I am going to document my times spent volunteering at the Animal Friends Humane Society in Trenton, Ohio. I started volunteering there one week ago to make myself fill more fulfilled in my life. Animals have always been one of my strongest passions, especially dogs. i knew that you had a deep compassion for animals, but reading this entry really brought the intensity of your compassion alive. this is really touching, i hope you keep writing.

Thanks Nickie! I really do love animals and am trying to do whatever I can at the shelter.

PS- I can't tell you how excited I am everytime I drive by Edgewood to see your name. It makes me proud, since I feel like you and I have gone through this teacher thing together in a way. Congrats again!

thank you!!! we definitely have gone through teaching together...and you forever have my deepest respect and admiration for teaching those b.h. boys. i always ask if they have you, and the ones who do adore you (not an easy thing for a lot of them...most of their opinions on school are very negative...) speaking of which, c.v-l. is back with his mom!!!

Oh my goodness- I totally meant to tell you I saw CVL in Middletown when I was driving about two weeks ago. I tried to turn around and talk to him, but ending up going the wrong way on a one way street. He was on his bike so by the time I figured out what I was doing, he was long gone. He did look really happy though. All those BH boys love you too and I always ask them if they know you. Right now, I only have Axel, who I rarely see in class, but he seems like a really smart kid!
