And yet you wonder why I carry concealed....especially alone....especially at night. All feminism aside, men have a physical advantage over women. It's just a fact, and it's something women think about every day.

Understood. I do think there are less potentially fatal ways to protect oneself. And, sadly, folks like you aren't who have me worried about escalating gun ownership. It's folks who carry while drunk and the states that allow it. It's folks who buy a gun and don't follow any of the laws about keeping it properly stored, resulting in their kids finding it. It's mentally unstable folks who were allowed to purchase a gun essentially no questions asked in a store (and even if he got stopped there, gun shows and online sales are still glaring loopholes). It's idiots like that guy who let an 8-year old shoot an automatic weapon at some gun event with no adult supervision (the rangemaster was only 15. They're then SHOCKED when the kickback smashes the gun into the kid's head and he dies).

I don't have a problem with guns overall, but I do have an issue that there are so many out there that probably shouldn't have them because, frankly, they're fucking morons. If it makes you feel any better, I feel similar about cars often.

If you think about it in the right light, humanity cannot possibly make it in the long run. In the long run, the universe will rip itself apart.

So, in some ways, it doesn't matter.

I'm trying to be helpful. I'm not succeeding.
