I have to admit to being a little daunted by the length of this book … but maybe that’s because I’ve read so many poor books recently. I can’t fathom continuing any of those for 700 pages. But good writing is always worth taking a chance.
I'm glad it didn't let you down and you enjoyed it so much. It certainly sounds your kind of book. It's lovely when you read a book that delivers on so many levels.
It really is. I love historical fiction, and it was wonderful rereading this one. It had been years since my original read, so it was like reading a new book.

looks like a romantic adventure according to the legends i don't know if i am ready for "the turbulent clashes of two disparate worlds" seems too close to reality atm

I think there have always been clashes; we tend to think that are time is somehow different because people don't know history. So, yes, very close to now, except they used swords. *g*

swords would have been the currency of the time or tiny swords, ie. daggers it was a time of back stabbing and poking and prodding to get what one wanted.. no wonder we're so distorted speaking specifically for myself of course ; ))
