This was hysterically funny to me, I'm still giggling. The sentences broken by the comments, the truth of those comments, the way everyone cheats and what it says about their personalities...so wonderfully done. I'm in awe. This was fantastic.

I'll echo a previous comment about the similarity to poker games in ST:TNG. Too bad we didn't get to read about the dirty little secrets of Optimus but in that respect, I guess he is like Piccard.

A game where the winner is the mech who cheats the best has a brilliance I cannot even begin to describe as to how much I enjoy on so many levels. The cadance of the peice, the subtle humor and bits of history hidden between and underneath the surface of the banter, and how it all rings true with the larger worldbuilding you have set into place. They all need this time to let loose and be crazy and cutthroat in a way no one really gets hurt

I found this -- and the rest of this verse -- combing back through the jazzxprowl comm archives, and I have to say that I love it. The series is great, and I like the character backgrounds and world building you've done, but I think this piece is my favorite of the lot. I like how Jazz keeps those few trinkets around, and how no one really knows his past. His jibes about Prowl desecrating the gardens is great, particularly since it's true (just not in Prowl's POV!), and the whole by-play between the officers is quite amusing. I just the way you describe the game and everyone's roles in it, particularly how they all cheat.

Anyways, I hope that the verse isn't just ended like this, but I do totally get RL getting in the way. Thanks for writing it, it was quite enjoyable.

Aww, thanks!! I'm really glad you liked it! It's not done by any means, I promise. I've got tons more chapters mapped out, but RL has been beastly lately, and I've only just now gotten back around to writing again. Unfortunately, I'm wrestling with a bit of writer's block on the last bit of the next installment, but it's coming!

Oh I totally get that. RL can be a pain sometimes and writer's block is even worse. But I definitely am glad that you're still interested in continuing it and have further plans. I hope that the blockage goes away fast, and good luck with RL.
