Elias and I saw Inception today. It was pretty much awesome. There is innovative action in it that comprises the most novel cinematic effects I've experienced since The Matrix. And it makes you think.

It was indeed pretty excellent, in concept, cinematography, and plotting.

I thought the characterization was fairly weak for a Nolan movie, though, and it felt like the score was...too much.

There is an interesting theory that explains the lack of characterization, but that's a kind of spoiler-tastic discussion to have in the open like this, I suppose...

And I remember how you (we) felt about The Matrix! I may have to see this one. The trailer left me rather uninterested, but I have heard nothing but positive feedback.
