*applauds* I'm impressed. I definitely like how Kaylee was thinking about all the ways that it used to be, back when Book and Wash were still with them. It seems that... well, it seems in character for her to do it.

The dinosaur toys made me sad though! Poor Zoe, and new pilots should know not to touch things that aren't theirs.

I like this beginning and hope you continue with it soon.
