Drowning in Shit Creek

Earlier this year, in May, I graduated with a two-year degree from the community college in my hometown. It took me longer than two years, but I was never in a hurry to finish. Thanks for the encouragement. I was pretty down in the dumps when I made that post. Logging on a few hours later and seeing your comment did succeed in making me feel slightly better. Even a cyber pat on the back is better than none at all.

The good thing about already having gone to a community college is that you are no stranger to transferring to a new place or taking your time. These two skills combined are really helpful especially in a tough situation like the one you've got here. Your apartments mates sound like a bunch of fags, so in a way, it's kind of good that you couldn't pay to get back into that place. You don't have to worry about a plan, dude, you already went through community college and enjoyed yourself - universities and/or getting jobs is/are like anything else. It takes time and sometimes you've just got to try out something else if what you've been doing doesn't work ( ... )

I used to believe that everything happened for a reason. I guess I still kind of believe that, although in a different way. Like you said, no matter what happens, bad or good, we're always gaining experience points. Actually, it's the most negative experiences in my life that have had the most influence on me. Those are the ones I've learned the most from, the ones that have shaped my beliefs. This isn't the first time I've felt like I'm "drowning in shit creek." If I managed to pull myself out of it every time before and make things better, I can do the same this time around ( ... )
