I've been a bit contemplative the past few days. I'm trying to quite my job when so many other people are trying to find one. It seems an idiotic thing to do, but every day that I go home after not giving a flying fig about work all day I feel amazing ( Read more... )

I'm sorry to hear you're feeling lonely. I like to keep the television on or listen to a podcast when I'm lonely, so that the voices coming from the speakers almost makes it seem as though someone else is in the house with me. But you've probably already tried that, or did not work for you. Either way, I hope you find something to keep you occupied. You're welcome to IM me on AIM sometime, if that would help. For the record, your posts don't sound ramble-y to me. They're coherent.

I don't have cable, a working radio, or a computer (that works anyway) so I can't leave a tv, radio, or podcast on. I don't think it would work anyway. Thanks for the advice, though.

I can't AIM at home, welll I maybe could from my cell, but meh. I can at work though, so I may take you up on the talking at some point.

I did end up going out last night, I woke up Bryon at his house at 5PM (he'd been sleeping since 2AM). We went to longhorn and probably ended up looking like a gay couple. We shared an appetizer and a desert..... usually not copacetic for guys to do. We also both ordered the same entree, which was ribs with a Caesar salad and a baked potato. I just wonder which of us was the bitch and which was the butch.

I'm desperate to quit my job, too, but the market is hell. I'm getting no responses from my application and resume and it's so disheartening because DAMMIT I AM COMPETENT AND FRIENDLY AND BUBBLY AND SMART AND HIRE ME PEOPLE!!!!

I'm not so interested in the getting hired part, but I do need to pay for stuff so another job wouldn't be a bad idea.

I don't think quitting is idiotic. I always dream I'm late to work and end up quitting. If only.
