Cloud came down from upstairs with Marlene sitting on one of his shoulders, his arms above his head and holding her at the waist to make sure she didn't fall. He was chuckling quietly, a faint smile on his lips as Marlene giggled above him, cupping her hands over her mouth.
"That one was good, Marlene," the blonde said, looking up at the younger girl on his shoulder. She smiled down at him, messing with a few spikes of his hair, straightening them no doubt.
With what seemed to be little effort, Cloud lifted Marlene off his shoulder and set her down as he spotted Tifa. Things were a little slow at the moment, but Cloud was sure that things would pick up soon, especially with the offer of free drinks.
If it was any other night, Cloud would either still be out making deliveries, or cooped up upstairs, but tonight was for Tifa, and he wasn't going to miss it for some stupid reason like filing.
In the middle of fixing the night’s special, Tifa looked over towards the soft footsteps at the stairs. There, Cloud stood with Marlene on his shoulders. Tifa smiled, glad to see the two getting along. Even if he didn't want to admit it, Cloud could be good around kids, if he took the effort. Looking away, for a moment, Tifa bit her bottom lip and sat her knife down. She looked back over at Cloud, watching him set the girl down. It was good to have him home so early. Tifa hoped that she was the reason. That thought made Tifa’s cheeks fever up slightly.
Walking over to Cloud, Tifa’s smile brighten. “I’m glad you’re home so early. We’re going to have a busy night, I hope,” she said, brushing his arm slightly with the back of her hand.
Somewhere in between his street performances and 'patrolling' through the town, Setzer had heard something about free drinks over at the local bar and couldn't find it in himself to pass up such an offer.
Sure, there was always the ever present conscience nagging him from the back of his head, but that was never really a problem. He knew just how to black it out.
Casually entering the bar, he eyed the crowd to see if anyone knew him or would be able to identify him. Sighing in relief as he noted that everyone around were total strangers to him, he made his way over to one of the more secluded tables in the corner and waited for the place to fill up a bit more. It was more inconspicuous that way, you know.
As Tifa lowered her hand, she saw a young man enter the bar. She watched as he sat down at one of the less occupied tables. Tifa hadn't seen him around before. Looking back over at Cloud, Tifa held up a finger.
"I'll be back in just a second," she said to him, an apologetic look on her face.
Tifa walked over to the newcomer and smiled. "Welcome to Seventh Heaven," she greeted him. "My name is Tifa. You've come on a good night, drinks are on the house. We also have a good menu. Can I get you anything or do you need a second?"
Nice location, friendly atmosphere, and now apparently cute servers. Tonight was looking to be a good one. Flashing one of his killer smiles at her, Setzer decided to be generous tonight. “What would you recommend, miss?” he asked in regards to his order. “What’re your specialties? How about I just go with that?”
He had earned a lot tonight. At least… Enough to casually ask for something random and not be surprised if it was the most expensive thing they had to offer.
True, one would argue that he shouldn’t mindlessly spend him money on impulse for no good reason, but it was also true that Setzer Gabbiani likes to make an impression. He liked people to think of him as the kind of person capable of spending on luxuries. Bit more importantly, he liked people to think that he was the kind of person that was mature enough when in came to indulging in such luxuries.
Tifa returned the guest's smile. "Well," she said. "I'm biased. I think everything here is good. I am making something special tonight, and I can bring you a plate, if you like."
"I'll also bring you something to drink. Think about what you'll like...we have plenty of house drinks," Tifa told him, before turning on her heel to fetch him a warm meal.
Rinoa was mildly surprised that Seventh Heaven wasn't entirely flooded with bodies all mashed together in a pile over a free drink, but she was appreciative of the breathing space. Running about the semi-crowded bar, with its lively and rude customers both, was an envigorating experience, filled with nostalgia for times before the war. It was definitely a nice feeling.

Cloud smiled faintly and shifted his weight from one foot to the other. "I moved some deliveries to tomorrow," he said, an explanation for how he managed to be home early.
The blonde nodded as a customer entered and Tifa excused herself to tend to him. It seemed like things were already starting to pick up; tonight would be good for Tifa.
Spotting Marlene behind the bar, Cloud smiled faintly with a quiet chuckle and a slight shake of his head, ducking under the bar to see just what she was up to.
Marlene was sittng behind the bar on the counter, swinging her legs back and forth as she hummed to herself, a small, content smile on her face. She glanced up as Cloud ducked under the bar, smiling wider at him, her eyes squinting a bit with the effort.
Stretching out a hand, she offered a handful of drink umbrella's to the older man with a smile and a quiet giggle. "Do you want to help me sort them, Cloud?" she asked, nodding towards the piles on the counter beside her, all divided into different groups based on their colors.
Tifa walked away from her chat with Rinoa and walked to the kitchen where she fixed the guest his plate. Quickly, Tifa rushed to deliver the plate, and she made sure he was happy with everything. When that was done, she returned to the bar, finding Cloud and Marlene there. She looked over at what they were doing and she grinned. Were they sorting drink umbrellas?
Picking up one, Tifa began twirling it between two fingers. She walked over to Cloud's side, and she looked up at him.
"Have you eat something?" she asked. "Why don't I make you and Marlene something, and I'll join you. I haven't ate anything yet. I'd like to eat with you guys."
After all, it was her birthday, and she wanted to spend it with the ones that meant the most to her.
