Lulu had decided to spend her day off away from the Yevon temple. Nightmares of the past had kept her awake throughout most of the night. Work itself had been tiresome. For the entire week, she had been given the charge of guardian for a visiting high priest. It was a very rewarding opportunity. However, it was tiring, and her lack of sleep was not helping her mood.

As she walked, her hairpins jiggled. It was a sound she was used to.

She was not even sure why she had chosen to walk through the marketplace. There were other places in the city that were more open and beautiful. However, Lulu felt like she needed to visit the bustling market.

Sorry for the delay, work was eating my time. xD endured_emotion June 16 2007, 06:26:39 UTC
Small children were dancing around for money, it seemed. A large crowed had gathered around them and people were laughing and cheering. Stepping up toward the large circle people had formed around the performance, Yuna tried her best to stand on her tiptoes and look over the heads of those around her. She knew she wasn't the tallest person around...but this was getting silly. Everyone around her was almost a foot taller than she was, and being 19, she knew she wouldn't grow to be much taller. The thought made her stick out her bottom lip slightly, and with a sigh she began to walk away ( ... )

Lulu looked around the market. It was filled with people and chatter. She walked up to some vendors and looked at the different things for sale. A small booth caught her attention. She saw a few hairpins on display, and she looked at one. Lulu touched it with the tip of her fingertips.

Still, there were too many people here. She would have rather been spending her day off walking the beach alone.

Turning away, Lulu walked deeper into the market, the sound of children filled the atmosphere. The sound of their happiness made Lulu smile faintly.

For a moment, Lulu watched the children. The way they were dressed told Lulu that the children were poor, but they were happy. Then, she heard another woman say something from beside her. Lulu folded her arms and gave the woman a nod.

"They are happy with hardly nothing," Lulu said looking at the children, a hint of sadness in her tone. Her attention had yet to drift to the woman.
