Shera set the table with some small sandwiches, as well as several other food items. She had been cooking and baking all morning, which was something she did often when she was nervous. Cid had stepped out early this morning, and was not expected back until late. Shera decided to take this as an opportunity to invite over Aeris and Rinoa, who ladies who seemed to be friends of the captain.
She really could use their advice. Ever since that morning when the chick hatched, things had been rather tense around the house. Shera had found herself feeling more and more awkward around Cid, mostly because he was acting so awkward around her. It seemed like, he was trying to act as though nothing happened...and Shera being the mousey lady that she was, certainly was not about to confront him on the subject.
At least not without some feminine advice.
