There's always a part of you as a fan that tries to think logically about it. Logically I thought the Giants would have to play perfect, and that's just to have a chance. Entertained notions that the Pats didn't have a real tough game for months, and all they played for was records...

Heh, I was glad to see them win too. What's funny is that they weren't perfect at all... it was more like they fought a desperate fight and came out on top because they wanted it more. Can't think of a superbowl that's been more exciting. And I much prefer Eli Manning's likeable smile to Brady's robot/terminator look.

They all stuck to the plan on D. One of those great plans. I've avoided saying it, but I noticed since the last few weeks of the season, the Giants Defense had a gameplan to basicly screw up the other team. It wasn't about coverage or zone or sacks. It was about throwing so many looks that people couldn't do what they wanted. They might still catch and score, but it was opertunity fire. Cept for the last game vs the pats, the 4th quarter, they imposed their wills on us. The cowboys, the packers (and the cold, admitedly) and the pats didn't play their games on offense.

The offence got hot at the end, and lucky. Both mattered. I mean, the luckiest catch since the pitsburge bobble catch. more spectacular, but not a TD. but toomer had a key one on the sideline, and the pats D didn't take advantage of the mistakes.

Crazy game, I screamed like a loonie. I think the whole league rooted for us though. I think they all hated that arrogance, the running up of the score against bad teams, the FU to the league over spygate.
