Here are a select group of photos from my trip to Tuscon for my visitation weekend.
This is a picture of one of my fellow Graduate Candidates, Amber. She is chewing me out because we are on the same chapter of the same textbook of Inorganic Chemistry and I opted to go out drinking with my future colleagues than go back to the hotel and study with her. I snapped this photo mid-rant.
A fine local establishment. I love the slogan and the fact it indicates it's owned by a gentleman named Dirtbag rather than a general statement of the clientele. The slogan makes it seem like an inevitablity that you will get fucked up there.
Essential chemistry equipment. There is a shocking amount of them were around all four chemistry buildings.
A safety sign. "Knives... guns... and nunchucks?"
From around town in Tuscon. This is an "overcast" day. Notices everyone is wearing cargo shorts. It's the town uniform. Also notice the white socks with black shoes on people. I wasn't unfashionable... just progressive.
Some scenery.
Saguero Man, the Great Treant of the Desert. He's casting Wild Growth.

A sign calling Suze home. You won't find anything like this in Western PA.
The Graduate Dinner at the resturant El Charro. This is the site where I was defeated by an enormous burrito and I had a great time involving margaritas and discussion of energy production in the 21st century with a professor who is working on research involving solar energy production. And he wants me to consider joining his group. Pretty awesome and a great time.
