It seems wierd that Arna abandoned her baby daughter.

I have done my best to show that she acts as a Norse saga woman actually would. The example with Turid Olavsdottir is not the only one in Norse sagas where a woman does not prioritize her child(ren) above everything else. Upholding personal and clan honor took the first seat in many cases ( ... )

OMG !! I knew Arna will do something about Eoin too !! Damn it !! Will his sparing sessions with Rangvald be enough to stay alive ? Or maybe he will show up and help him ! The whole situation is so bad...
But I'm thinking: isn't it just Arna's word against Einis' ? Why would everybody believe her ? What proves does she have ? Einis' life and dids don't mean anything, why should her word weight more ? Only if Einis doesn't react to this will show everybody she had reasons... It's a mess !
Thank you, great chapter, cannot wait for more !!!

Einnis is placed between a rock and a hard place: He doesn't know what Arna saw, and when, and that she was alone. Her severe raction tells him she is in no doubt at all about the situation. And the message of the tunic tells him (and only him) that she thinks him fit for a woman's role in bed - ie. that she knows he's been having sex with a man. And that is true, of course, so he knows that she must have some sort of proof. Moreover his being with another man is a source of immense shame and self-retribution to him, and the thought of it possibly being described in detail in the most public forum of the Norse society, taking all his honor away, must be unbearable ( ... )

Inuendos can destroy somebody's life even nowadays ! I was just hoping that, by the way he led his life, Einis would have a hope.... he's not Ketil after all ! But you know better, all the research you done for this story is very interesting and educational !
Thank yuo for your answer !!

Personally, I think whatever happens it's better than Einnis waiting 20 years and Eoin slowly dying.

Anyway, here is some info about Viking divorce....you have to scroll down a ways through the marriage stuff.

Tell us, better late than never: how do you pronounce people's names?

You might well be on to something, Juliette. I can't say since I'm trying to avoid giving out spoilers.

Thank you for the link. As for how the names are pronounced... I am not very good at writing anything out phonetically, so I'm afraid you'll have to keep saying them your way!

Oh my god! Wow, I was not expecting this. I can't believe that Arna just left like that, and then sent those men after Eoin. Oh, this can't be good at all! I'll be anxiously awaiting the next chapter!

I guess Arna is out to prove that (even among a people who did not believe in hell), hell still hath no fury like a woman scorned!
Thank you as always for reading and commenting, Tracy.
