The Obvious and I M Oblivious : nice people and unintended consequences

Today is a day for stating the obvious. This is because I see so many people acting as if the obvious doesn't exist. They're hurting others. I don't want to write this in the second person, for it would sound accusatory and set up an "I don't do this" reaction ( Read more... )

This is why I wrote it. People who've been hurt by hate then have to suffer oblivion. My example was not the best in the world but I wasn't going to let anyone else's life be put in a spotlight, for that's another kind of abuse. "Let's learn how much someone hurts by making them hurt more, and in public." We talk about it in rape cases, but it happens in so many places and for so many reasons. Without that public evidence, so many people will assume that a victim is lying and will react to them as if they are. I get that. For Jews are privileged and how could these things possibly have happened...

I suspect we've just found the Obvious #3. If I can add it later, I shall. Today's busy, though.
