Iain and I will be down for the gaming con from Australia Day to the Sunday after (29th Jan). I'm driving back solo, so I can come and see you on either the Friday (27th) or the Saturday (28th). What time suits you? Also we will have the new car is you want to go for a spin.
Once I get the car payments organised I should be able to join into your Patreon. Just being very careful about such things until I know how financial I'll be.
I'll look forward to seeing you. I also look forward to meeting the car!!
Supporting me on Patreon is not something my friends have to do. In fact, if you don't have money, you don't have money. Please don't beat yourself up about this. If it's something you want to do but can't, that's different, but please don't apologise when there's nothing to apologise for! Thewhole idea of Patreon is to create a support-the-artist thing, not a beat-oneself-up-with-guilt thing.
I had a book contracted to Sat as well but the closest it got to publication was discussing the cover. It will join my other indie books. I have had both eyes do the silver circles, floaters trick so you have my sympathies. I am also going to worldcon. Not sure about Continuum. I've got a feeling it clashes with something. I hope things improve for you.
Thanks! If it would help to talk about eh whole Satalyte thing, I'm happy to.
The blood is only a temporary thing (but very exhausting) and our main concern is that I'm liable to retinal detachment. This heat is a factor - I chose the wrong time of year for this to happen!
The glaucoma is not nearly as unproblematic, of course, and we were hoping it wasn't happening, but it is and that's that. This is why I need the cheering things to look forward to!
