So, farewell then, Gordon

May 11, 2010 20:04

Your goodbye was dignified, graceful and moving.

Twitter's (rather predictably) on fire... )

election, twitter, politics

Well, with the restraining influence of a Liberal alliance which might make the difference. I'm clinging to the raft of hope that it simply cannot last.

I must admit I've never been a Gordon Brown supporter and I didn't vote for Labour, but I've just sat and watched his parting speech to his staff and it was the most dignified, graceful thing I've seen in the entire election. He rose in my estimation tonight...

I think he's a desperately underestimated man and I'm sadder than sad to see him go - but then, I would say that, wouldn't I? ;)

I'm hiding behind the sofa with my eggy soldiers for the foreseeable future. With the blankie over my head and my fingers in my ears... that should do it *g*
