I like hearing what's going on with you and seeing the photos of your neighborhood and garden.

I'd do all right without the internet if I didn't need it so much for jobhunting right now. Or at least I could manage with reduced access

RL is surely a wondrous thing, too. I rediscovered it on my trip to your wonderful country; only logging on long enough to load up my photos and post a couple to LJ every day. I was worried that after a trip that length I wouldn't remember what each photo was if I didn't load and label each day.
But *sigh* back to reality, and it's so easy to slip back into old habits. I've made a point of going out the last two weekends, just to get away from the PC.
