2x21, Lorelai's Graduation Day

--> Let's touch on some of the little things first. There were some nice toss-ins of cute townie moments - Lane practicing, Jackson in the morning, breakfast at Sookie's, Dean's clay pigons, plus Paris being Paris. They rather balanced the heaviness to come, no?
--> Lorelai and Luke, still fighting. As much as it hurts me to watch Luke reject Lorelai, you have to feel bad for him. I mean, imagine getting into an enormous fight with one of your best friends, being furious at her, hating yourself for being furious at her, hating her for making you furious, and on top of everything you're in love with her. Ouch. [/self-indulgent shippery ramblings]
--> It's funny how this episode is largely about Rory fucking up, and yet, in my opinion, it contains two of the best and most redeeming scenes for her character: when she goes to the elder Gilmores, and her extended apology to Lorelai at the end. What do you think of Rory in this episode? I'm really curious.
--> Chris calling. Here they go again.
--> Lorelai's graduation!! Emily tearing up kills me.
--> And finally, Rory. This is the first episode where someone actually says aloud Rory's growing feelings for Jess. Thoughts?
