This is so beautiful, I love the interaction between Remus and Tonks being so...subtle. It doesn't push into anything drastic and when it does it all seems so fast. It's just all so lovely. I particularly liked when Tonks' hair changed again for the first time in months. A lovely chapter and I can't wait to read the rest!

Thank you VERY much for the lovely comments. I'm glad you liked the hair change as I wanted to do it when Tonks was inwardly feeling at peace again, and there being various contributory factors for this. Of course the full pink look is yet to be achieved!

Last week was a total writing non-starter for various reasons, but I've begun part II today so shall try not to take too long. Thanks again! :)

When I said this was like coming home again, it's more than the nostalgia I feel for HP. It's your beautiful writing, which I've missed so much. :) So thank you for turning on the porch light and starting a nice little fire in the hearth. I'm settling in quite nicely. <3

This story so far really does take your "old" Remus and Tonks and add a whole new level, given the facts we've learned about Remus and his relationship with Tonks. I have to agree with shimotsuki and say that your writing is so evocative and vivid, as always. The blossoms framing our two lovers, the simple domesticity of dinner and an impromptu haircut, the way each friendship means more now than ever (no wonder Molly is sticking her nose in; she's not a busybody so much as she simply wants people to SEIZE happiness while all around them the world is collapsing and people are getting maimed and killed

How nice to hear from you, how good of you to take the time to send birthday greetings when you're struggling with health issues again (I'm SO sorry; if good wishes help at all, then you have lots of them),and thank you for the lovely comments on the fic. I can't tell you how good it is to hear that you're enjoying it as it has given me a fair few headaches. Part II is well underway, after delays due to family illnesses and holidays, and I hope to get it finished soon. You'll be glad to hear they're much happier now, though they still haven't made those vows

Apologies for not seeing this till now - for some unknown reason it ended up in my junk email, which doesn't normally happen with LJ comments. Part II is underway, in fact I've had about 1500 words sat there waiting for a few years, and recently doubled that. But finishing it has been slow-going owing to Life getting in the way. However, comments like yours certainly give me encouragement to keep plodding on with it, so thank you very much! :)
