I am laughing so hard I just sprayed the computer monitor with soda. Honestly. I had to wipe it off with my shirt.
I loooooved this:
"Tartan undies, eh? Didn’t see that one coming, though perhaps I should have when I think about it."
If the floor was closer, I'd be rolling on it, laughing my ass off.
The last line is absolute genius, as well.
And if Moony won't sing 'Pinball Wizard' on a table in the Hog's Head, I will.

Spooky thing number two-
Whilst I was reading, Mozart popped up on shuffle...
Odd.

You be careful - you can't afford to wipe another computer out!

Am very glad you enjoyed it as it slightly nuts, even for me. Painkillers reduce my ability to brutally edit lines, lol. I have got an inkling to write Remus singing Pinball Wizard at some point, I'll have to add that to the list 'cuddlebunny' is on and see if I can avoid doing both at the same time for everyone's sanity.

Thanks very much, and as for Mozart - at this rate, all we lack is a crystal ball and some tea leaves. ;)

LOL That is a brilliant last line. And I love that the tartan undies have returned, and that someone else is calling Peter a cretin. Your Remus is so adorable. I want to ruffle his hair and hug him.

I am always so mean to poor Dumbledore in these things, though I like to think he'd have been vastly amused by finding Sirius hiding in his cupboard. I'm also wondering if this incident was one of the reasons Remus never made it to being Head Boy - being the unwitting instigator of stealing a teacher's underwear probably didn't look that good on his record!

Many thanks. Glad it made you laugh.:D

This was even better than I could ever had asked for! It was very Marauderish in every which way, and I especially liked Remus getting distracted by the book. But that last line...oh that had be laughing! Very Dumbledorish!

Great job! And Thank you so much!

I'm really glad you enjoyed it and it made you laugh. It's far too easy to imagine Sirius and James doing mad things, Peter egging them on, and Remus getting dragged along out of guilt and a desperate attempt to keep things under some sort of control. At least I hope it is, lol. I do like to think Dumbledore would have been greatly amused by finding Sirius waiting in his cupboard!

Thank you, especially for an excellent prompt which was fun to write. :)

I LOVE the marauder era fics (even if Tonks isn't in them!) It gives a little glimpse into why they were all (well, almost all) were so loyal to each other. I read the whole thing with a rather dopey grin on my face! Thanks!

Great to hear it gave you a dopey grin! (I, too, was pretty dopey writing this, and very worried it showed, lol.) Marauder fics are such fun to write; I love looking at the dynamics of the friendship, even in totally bizarre moments like this.

Thank you!:D

Brilliant! All the Marauder's were well drawn, capturing their personalities in just a few words. I loved Remus being distracted by the book and I really loved that McGonnagal would read that kind of book!

I know Dumbledore's all-knowing, but just what is he doing sneaking into McGonnagal's room, eh?

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it as I think a lot of painkillers somewhat reduces my ability to edit out insane lines. But I really enjoy writing the Marauders; they're always interesting and fun and right idiots here.

I know Dumbledore's all-knowing, but just what is he doing sneaking into McGonnagal's room, eh?

I may well have double -bluffed myself here, in a doomed effort to be clever, but although mentioned are tartan underwear (a unisex colour?), Gryffindor colours (Dumbledore is almost certainly a Gryffindor), and a book on Animagi... I thought there was nothing to say Dumbledore wouldn't be interested in the subject. So I was trying to make you think it was McGonagall's, but they're really in his all along. Which probably means I owe Dumbledore an apology for giving him Benedict's Witch as his favourite late night read. But then he does want a little more love in the world... ;)

Thanks again. Glad you liked it.:D

D'oh! You're too sly for me. ;) And I don't even have the excuse of being on painkillers! I think what lead me astray is the Marauders calling the teacher "Professor" instead of "Headmaster"

I'lI bet Dumbledore and McGonagall swap books all the time because now that we know there's nothing going on between them, it's the only explanation for that wizard paperback being in his room! But who read it first, I wonder.

I know, that was sneaky, wasn't it? But it would have been boring if you'd known who the reveal at the end was going to be!

Bet Minerva's into those cat detective stories. And Dumbledore laps them up... ;)
