Clunes and Christmas Trees
On Saturday my SIL Kurt (along with the kids) bought and put up a Christmas tree in our living room and did the lights. This is a traditionally masculine job and he did it with skill, courtesy, and aplomb. Then the children went up to the attic and brought down the Christmas boxes. Snow and Family
It has snowed a fair bit. I'm working from home today. My center manager kindly puts out a "snow" email whenever we get weather so that the 90% of people in our office who work for managers elsewhere can document the need not to drive into the office to work. A pleasant pre-Thanksgiving day in Dallas. The pumpkin pies are in the oven, but just need another ten minutes to be sure they set. Kurt is making made-from-scratch mannicotti - perhaps inspired by the food at the marvelous Napoli-style pizzeria we went to for lunch (Testa in Frisco).
