i'm so impressed by how simple everything you draw looks, kind of colour-in book style. especially when you draw people (not that there are any people in these drawings BUT ANYWAY). do you use references most of the time? do you make sketches before? i'm asking because my hope is that you do, so i can feel better about myself HAHA.

i use gouache, and i do use photo references for people, but most of the objects i make up. i usually make a pencil drawing on regular paper, then i transfer in onto the book paper. the book paper is really delicate and rips if you try to erase, so that's why i do it that way.

ps.-is it possible for you to make the picture sizable to a
cd jewel case?

all that is very possible rus. do you want any text on it? like your band name or the cd title? i think what i will do is draw it big, but then print it out on really nice paper and make it the size of cd case. i can fit more detail that way. then you can make as many copies as you need. give me a call to let me know.

no text for the band name (but the album name-yes)
and i forgot to mention
leave a rectangle of blank space
somewhere on the illustration
because i am going to sign each
cover with red pencil
i already came up with the band name text

hah, no i just mean i went to a battle of the bands not so long ago and there was an exceelent band their called el guapo. they play like..cool things. and the singer has a tambourine.
am i right?
