I hate our complex's maintenance crew. They're completely unreliable and almost never show up on time. Oh God, and don't even get me started on Verizon! Ugh, they just might be worse!

FUCK Verizon. We had a Verizon modem break last summer (still completely baffled as to how it broke, but theories range from "it got old" to "a thunderstorm fried its ports"). We had no clue what the problem is because only a few ports were fried and I could still use the browser and Skype totally fine, but not anything else. I called Verizon about the problem MULTIPLE times and they could not figure out the problem even after I explained it in the most clear, concise, specific manner possible about six times. We found out it was the modem itself when we temporarily switched modems in the wake of Sandy. We called Verizon and said "Hey, our modem's firmware is busted" and they did nothing but avoid the question and then hang up on us.

We switched to Comcast and their tech support is beautiful. :\
