Jensen Ackles thinks I'm nice
I'm not sure how many of you are aware, but I had this mission to find the Supernatural set and secure an autographed photo for my lovely and wonderful
lilalo Today? This mission was accomplished.
From the time I first took on this mission, I had this feeling that "they" would find me before I found them. So I have to say that, other than looking on the internet and kind of keeping track of locations, I hadn't really been looking. It was a bit of a shock this morning to be driving to work and see the circus set up across the street with location signs bearing the initials SN on a bold pink background.
After speaking with a PA, I found out where they were actually filming. And after I was done work, me and my constant companion, Gryffin (amazing and wonderful soul dog) went for a walk in the area. Which actually led to us finding the same PA as earlier and gaining access to the set, but sadly not to see them film as it was an indoor shoot. The PA, Gryffin, and I killed the next three hours in idle chatter and meeting other people. I met the boys' security guy and he was pretty awesome and fun to joke around with.
I didn't get to see much because I spent most of my time kind of hanging out away from the action. I did see Jared a few times as he walked between where they were filming and his dressing room (voice on the radio said he needed to get "cleaned up") but kind of played it cool and pretended not to notice him. Finally around 8:30pm they were done for the day and then a huge SUV pulled up and the windows were all rolled down and I found myself face-to-face with Jensen Ackles, aka Dean Winchester.
I was holding Gryffin in my arms because there was a lot of noise and action around us and after a round of hellos, Jared starts gushing over Gryff and saying he's the sweetest dog ever. Now I know I'm kind of partial to Gryff, but I couldn't help but agree. Then Jensen remembered his manners and started off the introductions. He stuck out his hand and said, "I'm Jensen Ackles, nice to meet you" and so I introduce myself as well. Then Jared poked his arm out from the backseat and said, "I'm Jared" and then he introduced the pretty girl sitting beside him as "Sandy". I shook her hand too. They look at me expectantly so I said my line: "I really appreciate you taking the time. I was hoping you guys could sign a quick autograph for my friend in Romania, please." It was then that Jensen told me I'm a nice person. To which I replied something along the lines of that being true and it's all because I'm Canadian. Which made him laugh, for some reason. Confronted with Jensen Ackles laughing with his eye creases and gorgeous mouth both working to full effect is really a thing of magnificant beauty. So Jensen signed and then passed the picture back to Jared who reconfirmed the spelling and said
lilalo's name.... incorrectly. The truly beautiful thing? Jensen corrected Jared's pronounciation. Beautiful because I didn't really expect him to pay attention and notice that it had been said wrong.
Other things worth mentioning? Jensen's voice really is that sexysultry deep tone. I'm sorry I ever thought it was put on. Jensen's eye crinkles are among the most adorable things I have ever seen in real life. His lips are like pillows filled with honey. And he's totally nice and sweet. They both are. I know there's not much about Jared in here --- but he was kind of wrapped up in his email at the time and didn't really say much outside of dog admiration. He kind of reminds me of a puppy himself and I always associate hearts and butterflies and girlish doodles in the margins of notebook paper to Jared.
