Camping and an Ornery Writer

We went on our second camping trip ever with Will last weekend (the first was an overnight to the Renaissance festival in October). I like the from-behind picture of Will and the little girl in blue priming themselves to dig in the slop. Will looks like such a Calvin there.

I loved our Eastern Oregon obsidian hunting trips! Thinking about them always reminds me of Dad and "Black Butt."

Poor compass. I can imagine the lamentations even now. :)

You guys are brave letting the kids roast marshmallows. On our roadtrip, we had an evening where we were roasting marshmallows with six children ages 1-12. I kid you not, I was afraid for my life. I'm amazed nobody (namely, hapless adult bystanders) was the victim of burning marshmallow in their face or metal prongs in the eye. There was also a lighter fluid incident. But more on that later.

Wow, what an obnoxious writer! Gah! I love how she doesn't even use proper punctuation or spelling in her replies.

Well, the marshmallow roasting was well supervised. :) I would be scared for my life too with the situation you described.
