california isn't the answer to your problems.. it's a great myth, oh yes it is. i've seriously been there, done that. tried moving there god knows how many times, and it never worked out. i was living there last summer and i realized that it's not new york nor will it ever be new york. it's just so different. i hightailed it back here after, obviously. everyone says that living in new york makes you spoiled that you can't move elsewhere, it's true. i wish i listened instead of finding out the hard way for myself.
i completely understand that. I'm not saying cali would solve my problems, I'm saying a change in scenery would do me good. I know nothing of California. but I do know NJ, nyc, east coast. And right now it all seems too close to things I'm tired of.
again I'm being rash, but i'm considering it. I'm trying to go next month for a scouting/vacation. But I still want to hear more of what its like.
But you shouldn't really expect California to be anything like New York. It's such a huuuge and diverse state with so much extreme history. Only certain people can inhabit there and be happy. It's an East Coast vs. West Coast deal. Both at extreme points of what they truly are. Emgee do it. Jersey will always hold a place in our hearts (that's been said) but sometimes it's just time to move on and get on with life. I'm more than ready and excited to get out there - start anew. You know we're going to have fun if you come. Love you snookums :]
i know how you feel. sometimes i just wanna pack up whatever fits in my ford taurus and move to portland oregon or seattle washington. see what happens, see if i like it.
