I thought this was a joke, but it's not.  Which makes it even funnier.

A Nicaraguan military commander accidentally invades Costa Rica.  And the blame lies entirely on Google Maps.

Costa Rica's reaction?

The Giggle Loop! Jeff is very right, the Giggle Loop is a dangerous thing.

One of the best things about the 'invasion' is the fact they took down a Costa Rican flag, put theirs up and still didn't realize something was amiss. *headdesk*

But you know... this goes to show what happens when two countries rely on different means of determining the border... what? OF COURSE THIS IS STILL NICUARGUA!!! What are you talking about??? It says so on google maps which could not possibly be wrong... it is you that was wrong flying your flags here for the past 400 years!!!

Part of me is totally judging him for not having a real map. What kind of military strategist doesn't have a tangible map? Even I have a map.
