in reality, people judge how much work a person has put into something by the end product that has been produced. (in this case, it was the prom video).
I have to agree with most. Prom dosen't seem too enticing this year.
hey vicki, i understand what you're saying. sorry if my post seemed like i don't appreciate junior council's hard work.
this is for everyone to read: i agree with you, when we chose last year's prom site we chose from... around 5 locations. obviously, if there were better choices junior council would've chosen it. all of this goes through the "Event Group", and the junior council visits the 5 or so arranged sites and chooses out of those. and also, (i'm not trying to point fingers for the quality of the video) but didn't the film society handle the creation of the video? i believe that's how it's usually done...last year we were just very anal about it and wanted to do it ourselves. people cannot criticize unless they can do better. this council has been working on this one event for the past 3 years. to scoff at it is just plain sad.
if any junior council member reads this, please don't be discouraged! i honestly bet prom will be great! don't let others discourage you.
i'm in junior council.. and this is what i have to say.
everyone has the right to have their own opinion but its rude to say how junior council sucks or how we dont try hard enough. we worked our asses off for this prom and it sucks when people, especially the seniors, criticize it. we worked so hard for this place to be perfect for (emphasize on for) the seniors. i'm not saying i'm mad or anything, i just wish some of the seniors would just understand the effort and thought put into this whole thing.
i, personally, really like the place and the video. i know we didnt really show alot of pictures of the prom site itself, but has anyone thought that we probably had a reason for it? it's not our fault and we tried to do the best we can. we felt the atrium was the best place out of all the sites we saw. and i hope the seniors enjoy it.
