It's late.

I think dad might just lose his life to the bottle before grandpa goes due to old age. I just don't know what to do anymore. I've tried, and maybe I'm just sick of playing mommy to everyone at my parents' house, it just doesn't seem right or fair. On one hand, they all shouldn't be one clumped-together responsibility, and I have so much on my plate

Why do I envision a Latter Day Saints commercial in my head when I read this? I'm not sure if this will work for you but it helps me. If you can just find somewhere to just drive around and listen to some music that might help you distance yourself from your problems.

Or if you can find the time and have an mp3 player just walk around somewhere and listen to a couple of songs. Anything you can do to just do to just help you step back from your problems and focus on something more positive will help you recharge your batteries and maybe help you approach life a little differently. Plus, a little exercise always makes a person feel better.

Life is neither right nor fair but it's those dreary rainy days that help you appreciate the sunshine...or something a lot less sappy. How about, "Get your head out of your ass and live a little...stupid."
